This project is focused on thermal analysis of induction motors. A thermal model will be developed which can predict the transient temperature distribution of the individual induction motor components. An exergy analysis will be applied to pinpoint the location and magnitude of irreversibilities to identify opportunities to improve system efficiency. The ultimate goal of this project is to determine an optimal cooling solution for the induction motor.
